Privacy Policy

Effective October 13, 2026

People trust Senior Halo with messages they’re worried about. This policy explains, in plain words, what we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

The short version

  • We don’t sell your personal information, and we never use the messages you send us, your extension activity, or your family contacts for advertising.
  • We only see the messages you choose to send us. We use them to tell you whether they look like a scam and to get better at spotting scams.
  • The browser extension checks for scam warning signs on your device. It tells us only when it shows you a warning. It doesn’t record your browsing history.
  • We never ask for your bank logins, passwords, or security codes, and we don’t want them.
  • Our public website uses analytics and advertising tools. You can opt out. Email legal@seniorhalo.com or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
  • You can see, correct, download, or delete your information. Email legal@seniorhalo.com or call (866) 326-1160.

This summary is for convenience. The full text below applies.

1.Who we are and what this covers

Senior Halo is offered by Internet Venture Holdings LLC, 1309 Coffeen Avenue, STE 1200, Sheridan, Wyoming 82801 (“Senior Halo,” “we,” “us”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect personal information when you use our websites, the Halo assistant, our email and text-message intake, the Senior Halo browser extension, family alerts, our bulletins, and our support (the “Service”).

It applies to members, to people who pay for or help manage a member’s account, to family contacts, and to visitors to our websites. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings in our Terms of Service.

2.Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account and contact details: name, email address, mobile number, mailing address, and the name of anyone helping manage the account.
  • Billing details: plan, billing address, and payment information. Your full card number goes directly to our payment processor. We see only details like the card type, last 4 digits, and expiration date.
  • Messages you send for checking (“Submitted Content”): emails, texts, screenshots, voicemail recordings or transcripts, links, and anything you write to Halo. These often contain information about other people, such as the sender’s name, number, or address, and sometimes information about you.
  • Family contacts: the names and mobile numbers of people you choose to be alerted, and their replies when we ask for their consent.
  • Support: what you tell us by email, text, or phone. We may record support calls, and we tell you at the start of the call when we do.

Information from the browser extension

The extension looks for specific scam warning signs: attempts to download remote-access software, visits to cryptocurrency ATM or exchange sites, and unusual gift-card purchases. It checks for these on your device. It doesn’t record or send us your browsing history, the content of the pages you visit, or what you type.

When the extension shows a warning, it sends us a short record: the type of warning, the website’s domain (for example, “example.com”), the time, the extension and browser version, and whether you chose to go back or continue. If you’ve set up family alerts for serious threats, this record is what triggers the alert.

Information collected automatically on our websites

  • Device and browser type, IP address, approximate location from the IP address, and pages viewed.
  • How you use our pages, including clicks, scrolling, and session recordings that replay those actions. Text you type into forms is hidden from session recordings.
  • Cookies, pixels, and similar tools from us and our analytics and advertising partners, including the ad you clicked to reach us.

Information from others

  • A family member or helper who sets up or manages your account may give us your name and contact details.
  • Our payment processor tells us whether a payment went through and helps us prevent fraud.
  • Advertising partners may tell us which ad or website brought you to us.

We never ask for your bank or card logins, passwords, security codes, or Social Security number. If you send them to us by mistake, we try to delete them.

3.How we use information

  • To check the messages you send and give you a Verdict and next steps.
  • To run the extension and show warnings.
  • To send family alerts you’ve set up.
  • To send the bulletin and messages about your account, billing, and renewals.
  • To answer questions and provide support.
  • To improve how we spot scams. That includes studying the scam messages themselves, with personal details removed, to learn new playbooks.
  • To keep the Service, our members, and our staff safe, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To understand how our websites are used and to measure and improve our advertising.
  • To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations, and to enforce our Terms.

4.How we use artificial intelligence

Halo uses artificial intelligence and automated systems to read the messages you send and compare them with known scam patterns. We use outside AI providers to do some of this work. They act on our instructions and are not allowed to use your information to train their own models.

Trained Senior Halo staff may look at Submitted Content in limited cases: when you ask for help, to check an answer that may be wrong, to investigate abuse or a security problem, or to improve accuracy. They follow strict access rules.

Halo’s Verdicts are opinions about messages. They aren’t decisions about you, and we don’t use them to decide anything about your finances, housing, insurance, health care, or employment.

5.How we share information

We don’t sell personal information for money. We share it only in these ways:

  • Service providers that help us run the Service, such as hosting, databases, AI processing, email and text-message delivery, payment processing, customer support, analytics, and security. They may use it only to work for us.
  • Family contacts you choose. An alert says that a serious threat was seen and how to help. It doesn’t include your messages unless you choose to share them.
  • People you ask us to share with, or with your consent.
  • Legal and safety reasons: to comply with the law, a court order, or a valid legal request; to protect the rights, property, or safety of our members, staff, or others; or when we believe in good faith that someone faces an immediate risk of serious harm.
  • Business changes: if we’re involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may transfer, still protected by this policy.
  • Advertising partners, for website activity only. See section 6.

Mobile numbers and text-message consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing. We never share Submitted Content, extension data, or family contacts with advertisers.

6.Cookies, analytics, and advertising

On our public websites, we and our partners use cookies, pixels, and similar tools to understand how the sites are used, to replay sessions so we can fix problems, and to measure and improve our ads. When you buy, we tell advertising partners that a purchase happened so they can measure which ads work. Under some state laws, this is called “sharing” personal information or “targeted advertising.”

We don’t use advertising tools or session recordings on pages that show the messages you send us or Halo’s Verdicts.

Your choices

  • Opt out of sharing and targeted advertising: email legal@seniorhalo.com with the subject “Do not sell or share,” or call (866) 326-1160.
  • Global Privacy Control: if your browser sends this signal, we treat it as a request to opt out for that browser.
  • You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Some parts of the site may not work as well.

7.The browser extension and browser store rules

The extension uses only the browser permissions it needs to spot the warning signs described in section 2. We use the information it provides only to run the extension and its warnings, to send family alerts you’ve set up, and to keep the Service secure.

Senior Halo’s use of information received from the extension follows the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. We don’t sell extension data, use it for advertising, or use it to decide whether someone is creditworthy. Our staff can read it only with your permission, for security, or when the law requires.

8.How long we keep information

InformationHow long

9.How we protect information

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, access controls, and limits on which staff can see Submitted Content. No system is perfectly secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of information. If a security breach affects your personal information, we’ll notify you as the law requires.

10.Your choices and rights

Wherever you live, you can ask us to:

  • Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy.
  • Correct information that’s wrong.
  • Delete your information, or delete individual messages you’ve sent us.
  • Stop sharing for targeted advertising (section 6).
  • Stop marketing emails (use the unsubscribe link) or texts (reply STOP).

Residents of California and of other states with consumer privacy laws, including Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Texas, Oregon, and others, have these rights under state law, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, and certain profiling, and the right to appeal our decision.

How to make a request

Helpers and authorized agents. A family member or other person can make a request for you with your written permission, or with legal authority such as a power of attorney. We may ask you to confirm the request directly.

Appeals. If we deny your request, you can appeal by emailing legal@seniorhalo.com with the subject “Privacy appeal.” If you disagree with the result, you can contact your state attorney general.

We won’t charge you more or give you worse service for using your privacy rights.
